This psychedelic photo of Pink Floyd was taken by Andrew Whittuck in June 1967 -- just eighteen months after Pink Floyd's formation. Clockwise from top left: Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Rick Wright and Roger Waters.

It was during this time that Pink Floyd honed their skills by acting as the house band for London's notorious UFO Club.

Buried in the basement of 31 Tottenham Court Road, the UFO Club in London was where Floyd utilized all of their volume and effects, honing magical light shows on a 35mm Kodak projector, "with glass slides with a mixture of oil/water and colored ink, heated by a hair dyer close up, so that the ever changing bubbles of color floated over them," said Whittuck when describing the nature of this early Floyd photo shoot.

Floyd's set list in the days when this picture was taking included Astronomy Domine, The Gnome, Interstellar Overdrive, Stethoscope, Lucy Leave and a couple Bo  Diddley songs.
