The iconic Blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan rose to widespread fame in the 1980s with his electrifying guitar wizardry & soulful Texas-styled music. His life was defined by a passion for blues music, overcoming addiction, and an abrupt end in 1990. While Vaughan could shred fast-paced Texas style blues better than anyone, he was dynamic and passionate, with incredible rhythm and timing.

In 1978, Vaughan formed Double Trouble, with Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon. In 1982, Stevie got his biggest opportunity yet to play a showcase at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Though the crowd, who'd never heard of SRV, was bafflingly disappointed, one audience member was enchanted. David Bowie called Vaughan to play guitar on his next album, Let's Dance, which was certified platinum. In 1983, SRV released his landmark album Texas Flood, which quickly sold half a million copies. Vaughan's follow-up album, 1894's Couldn't Stand the Weather, cemented his place in music greatness.

Vaughan's concert tours were legendary, showcasing his incredible guitar skills and leaving audiences mesmerized with his raw talent, mesmerizing guitar solos & emotional depth.

"Stevie was one of the best guitar players to ever come along" - B.B. King
