Recorded at London's Abbey Rd Studios, Wish You Were Here was Pink Floyd's ninth studio album.

Released September 12th, 1975, WYWH shot to number one with a bullet -- certified gold by its release date, and topping the charts in it's second week.

The multi-platinum Wish You Were Here is still one of the most influential albums in history. 

Shine On You Crazy Diamond parts I-V kicks off the track. followed by Welcome to the Machine, and Have A Cigar, and the brilliant Wish You Were Here. 

The LP album cover was two men shaking hands, one on fire, in the Warner Brothers studio parking lot.
