Description
The long-running and mysterious Catfish Blues song was first recorded by a man named Robert Petway, with sixteen other tracks in 1941 and '42. After that, he was never heard from again.

The version featured on this t-shirt was recorded a decade later by Elmore James (originally billed as Elmo James) on July 24th, 1951 at Trumpet Records on Farrish Street in Jackson, Mississippi. While Trumpet Records only survived four years, from 1951 to 1956, the label recorded some of the most captivating and famous blues of the 20th century.

Elmore wasn't the only one to cover Catfish Blues. In 1950, Muddy Waters turned the song into "Rollin' Stone", then in the late 1960s, Jimi Hendrix laid down his own version.

This Bluescentric Brand Classic Gildan blues music t shirt is 100% preshrunk heavy cotton in sizes up to 5XL. Heather colors are 50/50. Sizes run very true, and have minimal, if any, shrinking. This is a standard go-to t shirt.
