Released in 1975, the hit movie TOMMY defined the "rock opera" genre. The movie, about a deaf, dumb and blind kid who could sure play a mean pinball, brought together an all-star soundtrack that included Pete Townshend & The Who, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner and Elton John to name a few.
