Despite being an undisputed founding father of Jazz, Buddy Bolden was tragically never recorded -- though Jelly Roll Morton carried on his legacy with the Bolden-styled song, "I Thought I Heard Buddy Bolden Say".

Miles Davis - In a Silent Way Vinyl Record (New, UK Import)

This is a new vinyl LP pressing of Miles Davis' classic experimental electric album In A Silent Way.

Originally released July 30th, 1969, the album was produced by longtime Miles collaborator Teo Macero. The album features some young & ambitious talent who are still defining new directions for the genre today, including Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock on electric piano, bassist Dave Holland, and guitarist John McLaughlin.

There's only two tracks on this album -- but they're two of Miles' greatest. the B-Side's "In a Silent Way" was a composition by Josef Zawinul, who also contributed electric piano on the album.
