This is the debut self-titled album by bayou-born soul sensation Durand Jones & the Indications, bringing fiery original soul music, pairing soaring vocal work with dusty drums, slinking guitars & screaming organs.

Jones started singing in the church choir of his rural Louisiana hometown. When his music career took him to Bloomington, Indiana, he was selected to join the legendary Indiana University Soul Revue, and it was through this involvement that he met writer/producer duo Aaron Frazer and Blake Rhein.

The three began writing & recording original soul music straight-to-tape in the basements of Bloomington that became this album -- distilling a unique, hard to capture sound like those legendary small, tight-knit music venues where the crowd is packed on top of a tiny stage where a gritty, powerhouse soul band is giving you all they've got.
