Description

This is a Bluescentric exclusive official Big Brother and the Holding Company t-shirt in a vintage style premium lightweight 4.2oz shirt. This BBHC shirt comes in several colors, and sizes up to 4XL.

Solid colors are 100% combed, ringspun cotton. Athletic Heather is 90% cotton. All other Heather colors are 52% cotton, 48% poly. Sizes run true. These t shirts are lighter and slightly more fitted compared to the Classic Gildan tees.

It was 1965 and American culture was coming to a boil in San Fransisco when three guitarists, Peter Albin, James Gurley and Chuck Jones, formed Big Brother and the Holding Company to play experimental music that would soon capture the nation.

With the addition of Jazz drummer David Getz and Janis Joplin with a traditional bluesy vocal approach, BBHC's acidic psychedelic music exploded into American Pop music -- starting with a firey performance at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, and following up with a wildly popular 1968 album Cheap Thrills.
