Pink Floyd's ninth studio album, a follow-up to The Dark Side of the Moon, was yet another stunning entry to the band's catalog. Wish You Were Here was released on September 12th, 1975, and shot to #1 so fast that there were some 700,000 more preorders than available records. 

The record's album art was concealed by black cellophane, featuring a round sticker of two mechanical robot hands shaking -- a symbol of disattachment and emptiness that reverberates through the album.
