Wish You Were Here was Pink Floyd's ninth studio album. Recorded at London's Abbey Rd Studios, the album was released in September of 1975 and in the very definition of #1 with a bullet, topped the cart its second week. WYWH was certified gold by the time of its release.

Since then, the album has sold tens of millions of copies and continues to be one of the most influential bodies of work in the world.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond was split into "two" parts (parts I-V and parts VI-IX), bookending Welcome to the Machine, Have A Cigar and Wish You Were Here. Dick Parry again contributed saxophone, and filling in for Waters on vocals for Have A Cigar was Roy Harper.

The album art featured two men shaking hands, one on fire, in the Warner Brothers studio parking lot. That artwork is featured on this Pink Floyd t-shirt, complete with slight burn, and the original "Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here" text and font.
