In 1972, Pink Floyd played an epic concert performance at the ancient Roman city of Pompeii -- a place perfectly preserved in time because an unexpected volcano eruption covered the town in many feet of ash nearly 2,000 years ago.

The wildly popular band played for no audience, while being filmed by director Adrian Maben, who conceived the idea and documented it for a full-length Pink Floyd concert movie experience: Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii.

The film also features footage from Abbey Rd Studios of the band recording The Dark Side of the Moon. 

The band featured Echoes, Careful with That Axe Eugene, Saucerful of Secrets, and a handful of other tracks from past songs. It also features TDSOM songs Us and Them & Brain Damage -- though not played back-to-back.
