In 1972, Pink Floyd played an epic concert performance at the ancient Roman city of Pompeii -- a place perfectly preserved in time by an unexpected volcano eruption that smothered the town in ash nearly 2,000 years ago. 

The band played for no audience, and was filmed by director Adrian Maben, who conceived the idea and documented it for a full-length Pink Floyd concert movie experience: Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii.

The film also features tantalizing footage from Abbey Rd Studios of the band recording The Dark Side of the Moon. 

Floyd featured Echoes, Careful with That Axe Eugene, Saucerful of Secrets, and a handful of other tracks from past songs. It also features TDSOM songs Us and Them & Brain Damage -- though not played back-to-back.
