Music From Big Pink was The Band's debut album. Released July 1, 1968, the Band had been backing Bob Dylan before renting a house in Woodstock, New York -- lovingly named "Big Pink" because of its pink siding. There the group, which frequently included Dylan, created iconic songs like Tears of Rage, The Weight and I Shall Be Released.

Bob Dylan painted the cover, and co-write three songs on the album.
