Bo Diddley's Have Guitar Will Travel was released in January of 1960. It was his third album, and was five years in the making. The famous photo of Bo on a Scooter was taken on Livingston Street in Brooklyn, New York.

Bo wrote nearly every song on the album, which prominently featured Diddley's droning signature rock n roll beat and hits like Cops and Robbers, She's Alright and Mumblin' Guitar. Music from Have Guitar was covered by, among others, The Rolling Stones and George Thorogood.
