Description
This Bluescentric Brand children's soul music t-shirt is available in premium lightweight 4.2oz Youth Small through XL. Solid colors are 100% airlume combed and ringspun cotton. Athletic Heather is 90% cotton.  

The text in this design reads Flick Recording Co, with the label's former address, and "Detroit, Michigan".

It was the late 1950s and something soulful was beginning to well up from the ground in Detroit. 

One pioneering individual, Robert West, wanted to capture the infectious music that he was hearing in raucous clubs and busy street corners. Flick Records was his marquee label, releasing raw soul power before soul even had a name. 

While Flick's soulful tracks that failed to achieve much national notoriety, the influence of the label's music would inspire a lot of Detroit area residents and musical collectives, including the likes of Motown and young performers like Marvin Gaye.
