This is a Bluescentric Brand official Etta James unisex t-shirt, available in premium lightweight 4.2oz vintage style sizes up to 4XL. Solid colors are 100% combed, ringspun cotton. Athletic Heather is 90% cotton. All other Heather colors are 52% cotton, 48% poly. Sizes run true. These t shirts are lighter and slightly more fitted compared to the Classic Gildan tees.

This design features Etta James' famously empowering slogan "Tell Mama" and her signature.

This piece is officially licensed, every sale directly benefits James' estate. 

Recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama in the fall of 1966, Etta James had to be convinced by FAME's Rick Hall to even sing "Tell Mama". It was a response song to Clarence Carter's "Tell Daddy".

Released as a single the following October, with I'd Rather Go Blind as the B Side, "Tell Mama" was a hit! Peaking at Number 10 on the R&B chart. Janis Joplin quickly & famously adopted James' tune into her repertoire.
