Every sale of this official Blue Sky Records T-Shirt benefits Johnny Winter's estate.
In 1973, Johnny Winter created his own record label, Blue Sky Records, with the help of manager Steve Paul. Blue Sky released albums, including Johnny Winter Captured Live, from Winter, Edgar Winter and Rick Derringer before making blues history.
After the collapse of Chess Records in 1975, Johnny Winter seized on the opportunity to record his childhood idol Muddy Waters. And in 1977, they delivered a masterpiece: Muddy Waters' Hard Again. Backed by all-stars Johnny Winter, Bob Margolin, Pinetop Perkins, Willie Big Eyes Smith, James Cotton and Charles Calmese, Muddy laid down now-legendary tracks including Mannish Boy, Bus Driver, The Blues Had a Baby and They Named It Rock n Roll, and more.
It won a Grammy, as did Blue Sky's follow up, Muddy's quintessential I'm Ready.
