[OPTIONAL FILL]
Directions
1) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut shortening into the 3 cups flour,
and mix in the egg, one tbsp. vinegar, one tsp salt, and 5 tablespoons water.
2) Roll the crust out and place in the bottom of a pie bowl. If you put it
in a square bowl, it's cobbler. Round, it's a pie :)
3) Lay out a single layer of blackberries in the crust.
4) Now mix the topping mixture and sprinkle half of it evenly over all of the
berries. Add the second layer of berries and sprinkle the other half on the
second layer.
5) Roll out the remaining crust big enough to cover the top of the pie.
Cover the pie and cut off excess. Press the cover into the pie edges
and place in the oven.
6) Slit a few slices to let heat escape into the top and cook for 40-50 minutes.
7) Be careful, it will be hot. Let set for a few minutes and make sure to watch
your fingers when the vultures dive for it.
