Together George Dudley and Bruce Andrews have been playing and performing in different bands for a combined 60 plus years.Yep,They're dinosaurs-but they can still groove. As time has passed the boys have been attracted to and influenced by almost every genre you can name; from Muddy Waters to John Mayer. I suppose it is accurate to say 2blu has come back to ground zero - that is "the blues" and blues influenced grooves.

Who are the "Lucky Stiffs" - that's what the band calls the addition of Jack Dudley on bass, James Dudley on the drums, and Dave "teeto" Gowens on percussion.

When they play as a duo it's 2BLU
When they play as a band: it's 2BLU & the Lucky Stiffs
Yup, it's quirky, but it just "evolved" that way.

In 2002 they won the Magic City Blues contest with the band and went to Memphis to play in the IBC on Beale. 2blu and the Lucky Stiffs have performed in numerous area clubs and Blues Festivals since 2002.

In 2006 the guys won the Magic City Blues contest again.with the duo and went to Memphis to play in the IBC on Beale.

In 2007 won the Magic City Blues contest (yet again) with the duo! 2blu earned a prestigious finalist slot in Memphis (IBC) in 2008, went to Beale Street, played Pat O' Brien's twice and the ORPHEUM in the 2008 FINALS of the I.B.C. as one of the TOP 6 solo-duo acts out of 60 from around the world!

In July 2009, 2Blu and The Lucky Stiffs won the Magic City Blues Society preliminaries for a 4th chance to represent at the IBCs. Donning an arsenal of handmade instruments built by bassist Jack Dudley, they made a lasting impression on the folks on Beale. They didn't make the finals this time, but the new sound left a mark.
